ZERO-Sugar Divine Nutty Granola

Feel free to double, or even triple the recipe. I usually make a triple batch and store it in an AIRTIGHT container for throughout the week.
-Hope you enjoy!
  • 3 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup of your favorite nuts (Chopped, whole, slivered)
  • 1 cup whole pecans
  • 1/4 cup oat bran ( I use Raisen Bran)
  • 1/4 cup flaxseeds
  • 4 Tbsp. sunflower seeds (Or healthy nut mix)
  • 1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • Dash of sea salt
  • 1/2 cup applesauce (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup your natural sweeteners of choice (raisins, cranberries, banana chips, coconut flakes) ~Must add after cooking~
Preheat oven to 275. Mix all dry ingredients in bowl (Minus dried fruit) and add applesauce. Stir to combine. Spread out onto sheet pan and bake for about 45 min, or until the granola is looking golden brown. Make sure not to burn it, it will ruin your whole batch....
Add your dried fruit after taking it out the oven.
Toss in a bowl
~The crispiness of the oats, nuts, and seeds mixed with the slight sweet punch of the fruit; Makes for a healthy, satisfying, and FLAVOR jammed breakfast.
~Nothing like eating an all natural breakfast to rev up your metabolism and get you started on the day.
This granola is loaded with healthy fiber and protein without any added oils or sugar. Not to mention complex carbohydrates to provide your body with energy throughout the day. STAY AWAY FROM THOSE SOMPLE SUGARS AND CARBS! Those are the killers!
I love mine with a splash of 1% milk, or 100% pumpkin. You can get the cans of pumpkin right next to the pie mix. It's surprisingly very nutritious and low in calories.
Enjoy!
Also, you will want to pace yourself. The first time I made this, I ate about 2-3 bowls. It was so good, and I couldn't get over how beneficial it was for my health. It makes for a great daily breakfast/snack.
~~Please rate and make comments! Tell me something that you varied in your recipe and I will be willing to try it my next batch.
